In short
- There is no reliable stat priority for Forever yet.
- Several talents change how much hit, Intellect and Spirit are worth.
- Gear, enchants and consumables will be documented after launch.
What already changes
These official changes affect how you will value stats: Official: Published by Blizzard in a source we have read.
| Talent or spell | Change in Forever | Stat affected |
|---|---|---|
| Arcane Focus | Now increases your chance to hit with Arcane spells | Hit |
| Elemental Precision | Now increases your chance to hit with Fire and Frost | Hit |
| Arcane Mind | Increases Intellect (was max mana) and Arcane crit damage | Intellect |
| Mage Armor | More mana regeneration from Spirit | Spirit |
| Arcane Meditation | More Spirit regeneration while casting | Spirit |
| Frostfire Bolt | Uses your higher Fire or Frost damage bonus | Spell damage by school |
What follows from them: Analysis: Our reading of official mechanics. Not tested in game.
- Hit talents still exist, so spell hit will keep mattering to avoid misses against higher-level enemies.
- With Arcane Mind raising Intellect, Intellect gains some value for Arcane.
- Fire damage or Frost damage items are no longer an all-or-nothing bet: Frostfire Bolt uses the better of the two.
Stat priority
Not documented yet
- Why it is missing
- There are no numbers for the talents and no access to level 60 content in the beta.
- What we will do
- We will publish a priority per tree and per activity (leveling, dungeons and PvP), with the reasoning and the game version.
Recommended gear
Not documented yet
- Why it is missing
- Forever adds new items, dungeons and raids at every level range. Classic gear lists do not apply.
- What we will do
- We will collect items by level band once launch data is available.
Enchants and consumables
Not documented yet
- Why it is missing
- It has not been published which enchants and consumables exist in Forever or whether they differ from Classic.
- What we will do
- We will add them once they can be checked in game.
